How to introduce yourself in Balochi Language

     Balochi has mainly three dialects, but the Makrani dialect is prominent in its written format and is well known widely. Here are some basic sentences in the Makrani dialect:

     An introduction starts with a greeting; we start it by a word of greeting such as   عَلَيْكُمْ السَّلَامُ.

    After that it continues with “How are you?”.”دروت ءُ دراہ باتئے “or “ُ وشء جوڑئے”.

    Then, introducing oneself by his or her name as,منی نام اومر خالد انت۔ means

    My name is Umar Khalid.

    And I am psychology student. “من یک تبزانتیءِ نودربریاں “

     I live in Balochistan. “من بلوچستانءِ جاہمنندے آں” .

    How to Introduce Someone Else In Balochi Language

     Introducing someone else is also essential in language learning. This will allow you to further add to the conversation. This part of learning a new language is highly stressed and must be known by the learner.

    In the introduction of someone else, first we introduce his name like: اشیءِ نام علی انت. means “His name is Ali”.

    After the name we tell the relationship such as; He is my friend;

      اے منی سنگت انت .

     Then we can define the role of friend in one’s life. And we say علی منی زندءِ شرتریں مردماں چہ یکے. means “Ali is one of my best friends in life”.

    And we can also say: آ منی وانگجاہءِ سنگتاں چہ یکے. It means “he is one of my school friends”.
